   Frynds (“the App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) is a private social-sharing application created and operated by Finn Harkema.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We believe your data belongs to you. Frynds is designed to let you share memories with real friends — not with advertisers, trackers, or algorithms.

   We collect only what is necessary to make the app work:

   • Name
   • Email address
   • Date of birth
   User Content
   • Photos, messages, and other content you upload or share inside Frynds.

All such data is stored securely on Google Firebase Cloud Services and linked only to your account.
   We do not collect analytics, location data, device identifiers, or usage tracking beyond what Firebase requires for core functionality.

3. How We Use Your Information
   We use your data only to:
   • Create and manage your account
   • Deliver the app’s features (sharing photos, messages, and notifications)
   • Maintain the technical security and reliability of the service
   We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for advertising or profiling purposes.

4. Data Storage and Security
   All data is stored on Google Firebase servers located in the European Union where possible. Firebase follows industry-standard encryption both in transit and at rest.

We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access or loss.

5. Data Retention and Deletion
   You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting support@frynds.eu.

When you delete content inside the app, it is permanently removed from our active databases within a reasonable period.

6. Children’s Privacy
   Frynds is intended for users aged 12 and older.

If we learn that personal data from a user under 12 has been collected, we will delete it promptly.

7. Your Rights
   You have the right to:
   • Access the personal data we hold about you
   • Request correction or deletion
   • Withdraw consent for processing

8. Third-Party Services
   Frynds uses Firebase Authentication, Firestore, and Firebase Storage to provide secure account and content handling.

   No other third-party SDKs, analytics, or advertising networks are integrated.

   We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at https://frynds.org/privacy-policy and will include the date of the most recent update.
